About Thanh

 

Thanh, sounds like John but with a “T”, is a music copyist, librarian, and music prep supervisor servicing the Los Angeles area.

Thanh has worked on Film, TV, and Record dates with sessions at Warner Bros., Sony, Fox, Capitol, and The Bridge.


Thanh, a piano principal, studied Film Scoring at Berklee and graduated in 2000.

Thanh specializes in Finale and Sibelius for part preparation while also working as music  librarian with composers, orchestrators, and music contractors to ensure a smooth recording session.


Thanh’s clients have included: William Ross, Alan Menken, David Foster, Harry Connick Jr., Branford Marsalis, Greg Phillinganes, Diane Louie,  Nathan Barr, Joey Newman, Christopher Tin, Chris Walden, Riot Games, and Hollywood Scoring.


Thanh is also a Music Prep.  educator at the USC Screen Scoring Master Degree program in Los Angeles.


Thanh resides in the South Bay area where he enjoys being close to the ocean breeze and relaxing with his fluffy Chinchilla, Candle.
